ABOUT STARS CAMPS
STARS Camps are International residential, project based education camps, with bases in Europe, Asia and the USA. Operating since 2015, we specialize in space education. Our goal is to spark a love for science and creativity! STARS Camps activities correlate to middle school and high-school curriculum in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Human Biology. Our advanced programs offer college credits. STARS CAMPS are run by MAPP in collaboration with ORBITAL SPACE.
Our campers are supervised by trained educators, counselors and Teachers.
Our camps are geared towards a variety of ages, K-12. We customize our adventures to suit our campers. Our educators and experts accompany and supervise our crew of adventurers throughout their times with us.
Trainees work as a team and confront mission scenarios that require dynamic problem solving and critical thinking - learning skills critical to every aspect of life! Throughout a one week program, students are immersed in astronaut training techniques using equipment adapted from NASA's astronaut program. They learn about space hardware, enjoy an educational water activity and experience a spaceflight mission while learning about aerospace career opportunities.
KENNEDY SPACE CENTER
STARS CAMP will have exclusive access to historic launch sites and working space-flight facilities on a guides tour. We will meet a veteran NASA Astronaut, complete hands on engineering challenges, build spacecraft, launch rockets, construct habitats, and design space suits!
DISNEY YOUTH EDUCATION
Campers on this program will take part in specially designed learning experiences based at Walt Disney Resort, Epcot, and Disney's Animal Kingdom! Campers will learn from Walt Disney's leadership style and his secret to making dreams come true through the 4 C's of leadership: courage, curiosity, constancy and confidence.
Trainees practice clear communication through aquatic team building activities and leadership training at SPACE CAMP CHALLENGE course. Campers will be putting their engineering skills to the test as they construct an ablative shield during the Thermal Design Challenge.
